From 7498b648d77e402b09cb2d256d1a33991a18980b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Stephen Waits Date: Sun, 15 Feb 2015 22:07:37 -0800 Subject: [PATCH] urls with hosts that don't match the first URL are now skipped and marked as remote in the output * added Skipped field to Page to remember this state * marshaled into "Remote" field in JSON * bug fix: skipped (etc.) sites weren't getting added to the main page list * tests had to be reworked. because the crawl is non-deterministic, the tests started breaking. tests made a bit more robust, but are slightly weaker now. * the lists of URLs in the output are now sorted * ... and the parseLinks is no longer doing any sorting (no point in it) * parser tests updated accordingly * added a "broken" link to index.html - not currently supported, will fix next! --- src/docrawler/docrawler.go | 13 ++++- src/docrawler/docrawler_test.go | 94 ++++++++++++++++++++++++------- src/docrawler/output.go | 12 +++- src/docrawler/page.go | 3 +- src/docrawler/parse.go | 4 +- src/docrawler/parse_test.go | 4 +- src/docrawler/testsite/index.html | 1 + 7 files changed, 100 insertions(+), 31 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/docrawler/docrawler.go b/src/docrawler/docrawler.go index 9f4f19c..1b445d6 100644 --- a/src/docrawler/docrawler.go +++ b/src/docrawler/docrawler.go @@ -26,6 +26,16 @@ func docrawl(url string) []*Page { // mark this page as complete crawled[dest.URL.String()] = dest + // add page to list + sitemap = append(sitemap, dest) + + // make sure this URL has the same hostname as our first page + if dest.URL.Host != homepage.URL.Host { + // skip URLs associated with other Hosts + dest.Skipped = true + continue + } + // fetch page text, err := fetchPage(dest) if err != nil { @@ -60,9 +70,6 @@ func docrawl(url string) []*Page { queued[p.URL.String()] = p } } -
