swaitsandClaude Fable 5.1 d8816f9ee4 docs: tokens in a file, no keyring (U0e)
Deploy recipe loses its D-Bus dance, install.sh its macOS skip, README and
site their macOS caveat; packaging, architecture and testing records follow;
U0e As built filled in (D-63).

swaitsandClaude Fable 5.1 af553a3706 docs: the 2026-10-28 drift review; the plan, status and docs brought to date
check / check (push) Canceled after 0s
two-user / two-user (push) Canceled after 0s
The planning session read plan/served.md, every design document and the
five branches the owner paused on 2026-10-27 against main (44ee4083),
with dry-run merges touching no branch. plan/2026-10-28_DRIFT_REPORT.md
lists every divergence and judges every recorded departure (all kept;
three owed back; one needs a decision: P6 made ledger-store depend on
ledger-import).

The plan: section 0 "What changed on 2026-10-28"; 8.0.1 and the unit
Status lines name S4.4, S5, S6, S7 and P6 as built but unmerged; 8.0.2
records the destination (D-56: the installed app, P11a starts now) and
the resume order with the known conflicts (the shared documents.rs
test file, the types.rs appends, P6 retaking schema 18, the law numbers
34 to 37); 8.0.3 lists the names the EM approved during the wave; P11a
gains step 0 (the macOS and Windows keyring stores, the Windows data
root and pipes, a cross-platform CI build: today the agent path runs on
Linux alone); Q-5 is due and Q-8 asks whether D-47 to D-54 stand; the
Landlock sentences in section 2 and server.toml are struck.

STATUS.md and HANDOFF.md say where things stand and how to resume;
roadmap.md and gui.md are rewritten to today. The docs lose their
stale facts: 122 tools, 2,700 tests, the parity floor at 21 with the
P4b notes the slices never wrote, the ten crates and their dependency
graph (jiff added to the core's allowed list), the cutover of
2026-10-20 recorded in capability-parity.md and parallel-run.md, the
P4b S1 law and its two Kani harnesses added to verification.md (law
34), the proof counts (51 and 9), and README, the site and install.sh
honest about macOS (the viewer runs; connecting an agent waits for
P11a's keyring store, and the installer now says so instead of failing).

just check on main at 44ee4083: exit 0 (167 suites, 2,871 passed, 0
failed, 7 ignored, the server-only build clean). No code changed.

check / check (push) Canceled after 0s
The odd-cent regression's net loss and its splits, the website's example
Apple charge and the GUI plan's example receipt now use made-up amounts.

swaitsandClaude Opus 5.5 3cf359a0cd P2 slice 8: the viewer's menu, setup, no confinement (D-32)
No Landlock, no seccomp, no helper: isolation is "same_user
(advisory)". The lease socket keeps two intents (close, format-upgrade
consent). The viewer holds the books open while it runs and gains a
Books menu: New books, Back up now, Restore (preview, then confirm),
Close, Connect Claude Code / Codex. New commands `wanderbooks books
back-up` and `wanderbooks connect claude|codex`. The scaffold
(`new`/`init` and its templates) is gone; install.sh needs no sudo.

swaitsandClaude Opus 5.5 c16899f5d6 feat: books.show — the agent puts things on the viewer's screen
books.show asks the viewer to open an entry, an account register, a
report (dates, month/quarter/year columns, prior-period or prior-year
comparison), a document, a search, or a page. The request lives outside
the books (runtime dir, keyed by data dir, written atomically); the
viewer watches it beside the journal and applies books before
navigating. 66 tools.

Site: the dashboard is the hero again; 'Here's what using it looks like'
shows the session beside the viewer, ending in books.show; the cash page
replaces the repeated overview lower down.

swaitsandClaude Opus 5.5 679051ac8f site: dark screenshots; the hero shows a Claude Code session beside the viewer, same entry
The session (an HTML terminal pane, demo company) records the Adobe
receipt; the viewer shows entry #245 with its lines and rendered receipt.
Screenshot harness: SHOT_LIVE labels a fixed-books app as live.

swaitsandClaude Opus 5.5 96f08ae87f feat: Codex support in wanderbooks new; the site leads with 'free, turn Claude or Codex into a full bookkeeping system'
wanderbooks new --codex registers the books' MCP server with Codex (as
wanderbooks-<dir>) and starts Codex; the scaffolded justfile gains codex
and codex-setup. The site drops 'hire', says free up front, shows
Claude Code or Codex + wanderbooks = a complete bookkeeping system, and
explains MCP and cost in the FAQ.

swaitsandClaude Opus 5.5 061d433f88 feat: the CPA package carries the evidence; the site answers 'why not QuickBooks?'
CPA package: every receipt behind the period's entries with an index,
company documents, the journal as IIF, the 1099 worksheet, and a README;
include_receipts=false for a light package. The scaffolded AGENTS.md
covers receipts from email, switching from QuickBooks/Xero/spreadsheets,
and working with the CPA. GUI: a books copy without a server database
reads 'Read-only copy'. Site: example prompts, QuickBooks comparison,
what it does and doesn't do yet, the CPA section, FAQ.

swaitsandClaude Opus 5.5 2a976e68a2 feat: end-to-end integrity checks with self-healing; website; installer and Windows fixes
Store::verify compares the whole SQLite projection, every table row for
row, against a fresh projection of the journal; verify_and_heal rebuilds a
drifted database (keeping the old file) at every server start and via the
new books.verify tool, which also re-hashes every blob. The GUI checks the
server's database read-only and every stored file, and shows the result.
rebuild() also drops stale WAL/SHM files.

site/: the wanderbooks website (just site, just publish). install.sh:
OS detection (Windows points to WSL2), C compiler and git checks,
WANDERBOOKS_REPO. Windows: no directory fsync off Unix; .exe-aware lookup.
Repo justfile: check, build, install, demo, site.
